I am to continue my series of articles on inspiring people in my life. Following the interviews with Susanne and Annika, this interview is with Kirsten. As you can tell there are many inspiring women in my life!
It’s about people who inspire me as a coach and trainer.
The interviews will be, depending on the preference of the interviewee, in English or German.
My colleague Kirsten Wache will share what inspires her, what she enjoys and more. We have known eachother since my certfication as a business coach and have met up to touch base, exchange ideas and inspire each other ever since. I hope her answers inspire you as much as they did me, and leave the floor to Kirsten. Enjoy the read!
What do you particularly enjoy about your work?
Definitely the contact with people. And the sometimes very intense interaction with them.
I feel truly blessed to be able to accompany people in their development, to be a source of inspiration and a catalyst, and to have their trust.
And the diversity—no two assignments are alike. Patterns may be similar, but the characteristics are always individual, and so are my actions and interventions.
When you’re working on something new, where does your inspiration come from?
From what I encounter in life, at work, and especially in everyday life.
And I carry within me the vision of a more people-oriented versus “pigeonhole-oriented” leadership style.
It’s my mission to bring this vision to the world.
If we had asked you these two questions 10 years ago, what would your answers have been?
Significantly less focused 😉 I am fundamentally a curious person with a thirst for knowledge—I am interested in EVERYTHING. But that is not very helpful for me as a person—because it also takes energy, sometimes too much. So over the past few years, I have learned to focus, and this has resulted in my passion for team and leadership development. And also in targeted further training so that I can support and develop my clients in an even more focused way.
But the answer to the first question would definitely have remained the same – I am and always have been a people person!
If you could choose the next question, what would it be? And what would your answer be?
My question: Do you believe in your vision of people-oriented leadership? Yes, otherwise I would lose my motivation at work. And I have met people who already live this way and, above all, understand and support my vision. That’s what drives me!
Thank you, Kirsten!
If you have questions, drop me a line or give me a ring. I look forward to hearing from you!
