I am thrilled to start a new series of articles, and, at that, with a real corker.
It’s about people who inspire me as a coach and trainer.
The interviews will be, depending on the preference of the interviewee, in English or German.
My colleague Susanne Schmid will start by sharing what inspires her, what she enjoys and more. I hope her answers inspire you as much as they did me, and leave the floor to Susanne. Enjoy the read!
What do you particularly enjoy about your work?
I enjoy helping people discover and develop their own strengths.
I find it particularly rewarding when entire teams or larger organizations come together to find their strengths and opportunities, develop them, and use them for a meaningful cause. Supporting and helping them in this process motivates me.
When you’re working on something new, where does your inspiration come from?
I’m inspired by people, their drive, and their vision for the future.
Example: Project West Coast 100—a sustainable project for the future and the climate. It brings together engineering spirit, entrepreneurship, love for the environment and life, organizational development, and more. This motivates me to get involved as well, for example with UNOINO—a network of consultants for sustainability.
If we had asked you these two questions 10 years ago, what would your answers have been?
Back then, I was still a bit more preoccupied with myself—now these issues are much more urgent and important than I am.
If you could choose the next question, what would it be? And what would your answer be?
How can we connect with our deep humanity as human beings in order to tap into our essence? With friendly attentiveness, listening, offering dialogue, love.
Thank you for your questions, dear Cary!
Thank you, Susanne!
If you have questions, drop me a line or give me a ring. I look forward to hearing from you!
